Project Summary:
Maghaberry WWTW upgrade comprised of the construction of a combined sewer overflow, inlet works, storm holding tanks, primary treatment tanks, secondary biological treatment tanks, final settlement humus tanks, sludge holding tanks and associated pumping stations.
Further Information on the project:
As main contractor GEDA was tasked to upgrade the existing WwTW at Maghaberry, in conjunction with associated consultants a detailed nine step phasing plan was devised to ensure the refurbishment of the works could be carried out while maintaining the capacity of the existing works. Throughout the duration of the project GEDA worked closely with NIW Operations to ensure that the existing treatment works remained fully operational, and all project drivers were achieved.
