The scheme will have a new boundary fence with individual front gardens, new private roadways, footpaths, access pathways, communal garden areas and drying/bin store areas.
The development will include:
12 own door ‘duplex’ apartments (general needs)
12 CAT 1 apartments
8 apartments (general needs)
4 apartments (general needs)
4 (own door) wheelchair apartments
The GEDA project is expected to last approximately 16 months subject to confirmation. The Main Compound has been established and current ongoing works are continuing with reduced level digs and piling matt formation. Piling works are on course to commence shortly.
As part of our community engagement GEDA will be visiting local schools to deliver Health & Safety talks with the assistance of our safety mascot ‘GEDA Good Bear’.
This is a great way to raise safety awareness and also to promote construction to the next generation! We are looking forward to visiting Long Tower and Nazareth House Primary Schools to engage with pupils through art competitions and to educate them on this project.
We are registered with Considerate Constructors – a scheme that aims to promote the construction industry with various guidelines and initiatives involving environmental, community and workforce well-being. Letterkenny Road received an outstanding 44/45 for the sites first CCS score through the Considerate Constructors Scheme. It is important as a company we deliver on the CCS scheme and we would like to congratulate our site team at Letterkenny Road on this brilliant achievement.
We also carried out a litter pick in the local area at the beginning of the scheme, an initiative we plan to do regularly as the scheme progresses.
