Farnborough Road Mixed Use Development in Nottingham
GEDA delivers flagship scheme on former Clifton College site for Nottingham Community Housing Association.
Farnborough Road development in Clifton, Nottingham, is a transformative regeneration project delivered by GEDA in partnership with Nottingham Community Housing Association (NCHA). The former college site has been transformed into a vibrant, inclusive and sustainable community hub for living, working and playing.
The mixed-use development includes a new two-storey head office for NCHA featuring a 24-hour call centre, training facilities, meeting rooms and a maintenance depot. Residential provision includes 50 HAPPI-compliant independent living apartments and six bungalows for older people, alongside 14 supported living flats for individuals impacted by negative mental health. Existing sports facilities – including a gym, changing rooms and football pitches were retained and enhanced as a key community asset.
Built with sustainability at its core, the project achieved BREEAM Excellent and an EPC A(13A) rating, confirming its net-zero carbon credentials. Key features include a fabric-first approach, solar PV, MVHR systems, green roofs and EV charging. The site was delivered on time and within budget.
Farnborough Road stands as a shining example of regeneration with purpose, combining social value, sustainability and architectural quality to create a lasting legacy for the Clifton community
