GEDA Receives Gold RoSPA Award
GEDA Construction receives prestigious Gold RoSPA Award, highlighting its commitment to health and safety excellence.
GEDA, a Civil Engineering and Building Contractor, has received a prestigious Gold RoSPA Award, highlighting its commitment to health and safety excellence.
The award, presented in the Industry Sector category, recognises GEDA’s dedication to protecting its staff, subcontractors, and the communities in which it operates.
Now in its 69th year, the RoSPA Health and Safety Awards attract nearly 2,000 entries annually from more than 50 countries, covering over seven million employees. As the world’s largest occupational health and safety awards programme, RoSPA honours organisations and individuals who set the highest standards in accident prevention.
With both competitive and non-competitive categories across 20 industry sectors, each entrant undergoes rigorous assessment. GEDA’s recognition places it among global leaders working to create safer, healthier workplaces.
Beyond recognition, the RoSPA Awards process offers an opportunity for reflection and continuous improvement. Participating in the programme supports ongoing professional development (CPD) and helps to strengthen the robust health and safety culture needed for long-term success.
Chris Stinson, SHEQ Director said: “Receiving the Gold RoSPA Award is a proud reflection of the strong health and safety culture we strive to embed throughout GEDA. This recognition from RoSPA highlights our unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards across all aspects of our operations. A heartfelt thank you goes to everyone across the organisation for their daily contributions, and especially to the teams directly involved in achieving this prestigious award.”
Julia Small, RoSPA’s Growth Director, said:
‘GEDA should be proud of the hard work and commitment to keeping people safe that has resulted in a RoSPA Award, which honours those organisations who have achieved the highest standards in health and safety in the workplace.
RoSPA regards GEDA as a strong example of the importance of making accident prevention central to any successful organisation, not just for the benefit of employees, customers and clients, but also society as a whole.’
Sponsored by the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH), the RoSPA Awards scheme is the longest running of its kind in the UK, and receives entries from organisations across the globe, making it one of the most sought-after achievement awards for the health and safety industry.
Dee Arp, NEBOSH Chief Quality Officer and the Head Judge of the RoSPA Awards, said:
‘NEBOSH is delighted to be the headline sponsor of the RoSPA Awards. Recognising excellence in health and safety is essential to ensure we celebrate achievement, but it is also about reinforcing a culture of care, accountability and continuous improvement. These awards serve as a powerful reminder that employee safety and wellbeing transcends borders and looking after our people, so they can go home safe, healthy and happy every day, also drives sustainable success and resilience.’
