Project Summary:

Internal Fit Out, Installation of Metal Frame and Metal Deck Flooring, Office, Food Chillers and Storage

Further Information on the project:

This was the amalgamation of two existing facilities in Liverpool and Bolton merging onto the one new distribution centre. This scheme involved the installation of a Mezzanine level for offices into an existing Portal frame building, such level included meeting rooms, telephony order room, toilets, staff kitchens, changing rooms and the construction of cold storage rooms. The building also received a mechanical and electrical upgrade.

The Contract program of the scheme was 20 weeks however we completed it in 16 weeks as the existing facility was due to be demolished and there were penalties for our client if they hadn’t vacated the facility. Working closely with the Client we were able to redesign the structure from pre-cast slabs to a poured metal concrete deck. We also were able to negotiate an early installation of the metal structure within 3 weeks (2 weeks ahead of program).

This was a successful scheme delivered ahead of time thus eliminating costly temporary accommodation for our client and double moves. We were also able to accommodate a seamless transition of occupation within the facility over the final week to allow Total Produce set up their staff for an immediate operation of the facility on handover from Geda Construction
