This award-winning project involved the design, construction, testing and commissioning of a new wastewater treatment facility within the confines of the existing site at Bushmills. GEDA was responsible for managing the progression of detailed design, on-site construction phase and final commissioning of the works.
The WwTWs at Bushmills is designed for a PE of 8,800 and will include new inlet chambers, CSO facility and storm screen. Works at Portballintrae will include the construction of storage facilities, overflows and odour controls as well as laying of 3km of pipes (ranging in size from 80mm to 375mm).
