GEDA is an award-winning, Civil Engineering and Construction company, with offices in Tyrone (NI) and Leicestershire (UK). We deliver critical Water Infrastructure, Social Housing, Commercial and Education projects across the UK and Ireland.
Due to our growth and development, we have an exciting new opportunity for an Admin Assistant to join our Civils team in Northern Ireland.
As an Administration Assistant you will play a key role in supporting the Civils team with their day-to-day tasks. The ideal candidate will have previous administration experience. This role requires strong organisational skills, great attention to detail and the ability to manage tasks simultaneously.
THE ROLE
- General administrative support to the site teams to include update of drawing registers, site packs, utilities drawings, word processing, photocopying, document upload etc.
- Record and update data on internal systems in a timely and precise manner.
- Handle administrative tasks such as document upload, record-keeping, and correspondence.
- Prepare and maintain site documentation, including reports, permits, and licenses.
- Assist with budget preparation and manage site-related expenses.
- Act as the primary point of contact for site-related inquiries and issues.
- Communicate effectively with office & site staff, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure site activities align with overall company goals.
- Work effectively as part of a team and positively contribute to the civils department.
THE PERSON
- Previous experience in a similar administrative role.
- Previous experience in the construction/civil engineering industry would be advantageous.
- Must be able to use their own initiative, taking accountability and responsibility for their work from start to finish.
- Deadline driven, and reliable assisting the team to hit key targets.
- Sound IT skills to include MS packages.
- Full valid driving licence.
