GEDA will be visiting local nurseries with GEDA Goodbear to teach the kids about the importance of Health & Safety on construction sites and to ‘Be Aware & Take Good Care!’ And while we are at it, promoting careers in construction!

On #RuralHousingWeek there is an urgent need to protect and build more affordable housing in rural areas. Many rural communities are at risk, as young families and those on modest incomes are priced out, and local services are closed. GEDA are committed to levelling up rural communities and continue to provide housing in lesser populated areas such as Crich and Gotham.

This year we have delivered our 1000th home in the midlands and we are proud to work alongside various housing associations to provide housing in areas that need it most!

Huge congratulations to Antoin who fought off very tough competition to win the 2022 Kevin Carey Award! This award recognises one of our top performing students for their contribution and development over their year’s placement with GEDA.

It is usually a very difficult decision and this year was certainly no exception. The standard was extremely high and we would like to commend all of our students for their hard work, commitment and positive impact while they were here. Kevin Carey was a colleague of ours, a civil engineer who was a terrific mentor to students. He was knowledgeable, patient and encouraging, and found mentoring students very rewarding. This award is in memory of him.
