Mayor of Derry City Visits Letterkenny Road Site

Cllr Lillian Seenoi Barr recognises GEDA's social value projects as she visits our Letterkenny Road site. The Mayor joined in the celebration with Long Tower Primary School as we displayed their artwork of Derry City on the site hoarding. It was a pleasure meeting the kids and everyone involved who helped bring it all together!

GEDA Meets the Mayor of Derry City!

We had another exciting day at our Letterkenny Road site this week!

We were honored to welcome the Mayor of Derry City & Strabane District Council, Cllr Lilian Seenoi Barr, along with Long Tower Primary School Principal, Mrs Joyce Logue and Vice Principal Mr Ian Gallagher, to celebrate their talented pupil’s community art project of Derry/Londonderry.

Their stunning art boards have truly brought our hoarding to life. Thank you for adding such beauty and creativity to the community!

Cllr Lilian Seenoi Barr praised team GEDA for contributing social value to the city within local schools and for their kind charity donations.

The Mayor also commended the site team for their hard work on the project to date, as they continue to develop 40 new apartments on behalf of Radius Housing.

Special thanks to Robert and Timothy from JP Corry for joining us on the day and kindly donating the materials used to create the 7 pieces of colourful artwork.

Lastly, we would like to thank the Derry Journal for coming along and creating a short video on the day with everyone.
