Situated on the banks of the River Bann, this new single storey Visitor Complex was constructed with extensive parking and play areas to improve accessibility and use of the marina and camp site.

Due to the site’s proximity to the watercourse and unstable ground conditions, we provided an effective engineered piling solution to commence building works. The structure of the visitor centre was a steel frame which was finished with rendered blockwork, terracotta tiles and a zinc roof. The building was finished with the installation of PV Panels and rainwater harvesting tanks.

With scenic views over the marina and the Bann River this modern facility accommodated drying rooms, a community rescue office, toilets, showers and a ‘solar room’ which provided space for events and meetings.

Major regeneration of the overall facility area was also completed to provide outdoor community space through 6 interlocking state of the art play parks, a seated amphitheatre for community events, extensive landscaping and river bank structural remediation works.
