This project involved the design, construction and commissioning of a new waste water treatment facility within the confines of the existing site at Creagh WwTW.
The existing temporary works at Creagh consisted of a primary settlement tank and percolating biological filter. The new works serves Toome and Creagh combined populations with discharge to the Moyola River.
The new works included inlet chambers/CSO, screens, grit & fats/oil & grease removal, settlement tanks, Activate Sludge Pumping and sludge treatment. A new control building was also constructed. On completion and tested of the new works, the redundant plant was decommissioned and removed from site.
Additional infrastructure upgrade of Toome Networks (pumping stations and pipelines) also undertaken by Geda.
