QUANTITY SURVEYOR – PLACEMENT STUDENT

Position: Quantity Surveyor – Placement Student

Employment Type: Fixed-term | Full-Time

GEDA is a passionate and progressive Construction and Civil Engineering company. Based in Co. Tyrone and first established in 1982, we now operate throughout Ireland and The East Midlands.

We are currently seeking to recruit Quantity Surveyor Placement Students for our Head Office in Dungannon. This is a great opportunity to get first-hand experience with a successful and growing company. You will develop professionally and personally as a successful Quantity Surveyor with an established Company that provides steady and ongoing projects.

The Role:

• Providing support to both quantity surveyors and commercial manager in negotiating and appointing sub-contractors to scheme.
• Assisting with the management of sub-contractor packages.
• Supporting submissions of all valuations and variations on schemes.
• Identify cost issues.
• Assisting with commercial matters with clients.

The Person:

• The ability to plan, organise and prioritise and work to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work within a fast-paced office environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent working knowledge of MS office software.
• Working towards a degree in Quantity Surveying or a relevant discipline.
• Strong IT skills.
• Willing to work effectively within a team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Full driving licence.
