Knight’s Close, Billesdon has been nominated in the Category of Best Social or Affordable New Housing Development in the upcoming East Midlands LABC Awards. In addition, Andy Kenny (Billesdon Site Manager) has been nominated in the Category of LABC Construction Professional of the Year – Residential.
Knights Close project is situated in a conservation area and has been designed and constructed to complement the surrounding Billesdon area. It is an excellent example of how a successful collaboration can revive an area that needed to be rejuvenated. The Knights Close project, which was completed for the Sevenlocks /Waterloo Housing has been constructed in a sympathetic response due to its location in a conservation area and also to the prevailing Georgian characteristics of the local area.

This much-needed quality housing combines quality of workmanship and an eye for detail in a manner which not only works in harmony with the Billesdon area but also serves as a driving force in its regeneration.
The £1.7m project was delivered on time and budget to Sevenlocks /Waterloo Housing enabling them to regenerate this site and provide quality homes that fully complemented the existing characteristics of the area.
Ian Clyde (Waterloo Housing Group Project Manager) commented “Thoroughly professional as usual, complete handover documentation in advance much appreciated, and the completed scheme is a great credit to Geda. All tenants were signed up on the day and are delighted with their new homes, good teamwork all round!”

Best of luck to all nominations in the final stages of judging.
