We recently held our annual Build a Bridge day for over 130 local primary school children. The aim of the day was to open the children’s minds to possible future careers in the construction industry. Primary schools involved were St Mary’s, Stewartstown, Blessed Patrick O’Loughran Castlecaulfield, Walker Memorial, Castlecaulfield and Edendork, Dungannon.

The children got to help build a bridge which was supplied by the Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE) and were also given information on civil engineering, bridge building and what we do at Geda.

As well as this we welcomed Andrew Humphreys from Northern Ireland Water to go through the water life cycle and complete a water filter practical.
