Geda Construction is committed to protecting and enhancing the environments we work in and ensuring that our actions today do not have an adverse effect on the future. It is our policy to understand and manage our environment, where possible provide positive outcomes, and at a minimum ensure legislative compliance. Examples of such steps taken include;
- Our Biodiversity Initiative. Due to its success it has now been rolled out to all applicable sites.
- Waste reduction. We are committed to reducing waste both on site and at regional offices, re-using and recycling where possible and ultimately sending zero waste to landfill. We embrace new opportunities to reuse or recycle waste materials through efficient design and careful management of our construction activities.
- Introduction of energy efficiency measures on all sites and reducing our carbon emissions via ‘Geda Green’ Travel Plan.
- Responsible Sourcing. We work with our supply chain so that they understands the importance of sustainability and their role in ensuring the materials we buy are procured in a responsible and ethical way.
