We require a Graduate / Site Engineer to work on building projects within the East Midlands.  The successful candidate must have either a building / construction engineering honours degree.  A current clean driving licence is essential for the post.

Essential criteria:

  • Degree qualification (honours) in building / construction engineering.
  • 1-2 years experience.
  • Ability to manage electronic information, including using CAD, MS Project and other Microsoft programmes and setting out using an EDM.

Civil Engineer/Site Manager
Location: Northern Ireland
DUTIES & JOB ROLE

We are a dynamic and progressive construction and civil engineering company. Due to the recent award of exciting Civil engineering contracts in Northern Ireland we are seeking a Civils Site Manager / Engineer to join our team.

Essential Criteria:

  • 3 – 6 years relevant site management experience
  • Ability to produce programmes and ensure adherence to time constraints on site.
  • Current health and safety card (CSR / CSCS / Safepass or equivalent) to supervisor level and able to manage health and safety issues to audited scheme such as ISO 18001.
  • First Aid at Work certificate.
  • Ability to manage electronic information, including using CAD, MS Project and other Microsoft programmes.
  • Be proficient to use engineering equipment setting out using an EDM
  • Excellent communication skills and good general commercial awareness.
  • Experience in dealing with and managing subcontractors
  • Experience with reinforced concrete structures and pipework
  • Driving licence is essential

Desirable criteria:

  • Civil engineering site management experience an advantage.
  • Ability to produce and assess risk assessments and method statements.
  • Experience of working within audited quality and environmental systems eg ISO 9001 and 14001.
  • At least three years relevant experience
  • Self motivation
  • A high level of verbal and written communication skills, Maintains effective planning and communication with all stakeholders, and maintains focus to achieve project deadlines / deliverables to the client
  • Outstanding people management and project execution capability
  • Strong communication and team building skills
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills as well as attention to detail

DUTIES & JOB ROLE

Due to continued growth and to assist in the smooth running of our sites we require an administrator.

The main duties will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Processing sub-contractor & HSEQ paperwork
  • Sourcing information from internal and external sources
  • Scanning & uploading site information
  • Keeping information systems up to date
  • Providing administrative support to site and management staff
  • Filing & photocopying
  • General admin duties

Essential criteria

Highly proficient in MS Office software

 Desirable criteria:

Min 3 yrs experience in similar role.

Experience within the construction industry would be an advantage.

Part time working hours will be considered.

Following a short induction period to become familiar with the Company’s Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, Costing and Contract Ledgers the successful applicant will move into a full support role to the Financial Controller. Duties will include:

Due to continued growth we require a Buyer to work alongside our QS Team. Based in Dungannon, the successful candidate will join our existing Buying team in undertaking the buying function for the business.  They will source, negotiate and procure materials for building projects across the UK and Ireland.

  • Manage the material procurement process.
  • Ensuring materials are procured at best value, best quality and delivered on time to meet programme
  • Research the market to identify new suppliers and new products to improve our supply chain.
  • Prepare and issue comprehensive enquires and undertake comparisons in order to  make recommendations to the contract management team.
